Welcome to American Heritage Girls at River Oaks Church
Introduction to American Heritage Girls
American Heritage Girls (AHG) is a faith-based scouting program dedicated to providing character development and leadership opportunities for girls from ages 5 to 18. At River Oaks Church, we are proud to offer the AHG program as part of our commitment to the community and promoting strong faith and values.
Faith and Values
Our American Heritage Girls program is firmly rooted in the principles of faith and beliefs. We believe that by integrating faith into our activities, we can guide young girls towards becoming women of integrity and purpose. Through Bible studies, prayer, and service projects, we strive to instill a solid foundation of Christian values and morals.
Program Overview
The American Heritage Girls program at River Oaks Church offers a wide range of activities and opportunities for girls to grow, learn, and serve. We focus on building character, developing leadership skills, and fostering a sense of community. Our program is organized into different age groups, allowing girls to progress and engage in age-appropriate challenges and activities.
Stars
The Stars program is designed for girls ages 5 to 6. It focuses on introducing them to the core values of the AHG program, such as faith, family, and community. Through fun and engaging activities, girls in the Stars program learn the importance of being kind, respectful, and responsible.
Stripes
Stripes is the next level in the AHG program, catering to girls ages 7 to 9. In this phase, girls are encouraged to develop a deeper understanding of their faith and values. They participate in activities that promote leadership, teamwork, and character building. Stripes aim to instill a sense of responsibility and integrity in each girl.
Patriots
The Patriots phase is specifically designed for girls ages 10 to 12. It focuses on empowering girls to become strong leaders and confident individuals. Patriots engage in community service initiatives, outdoor adventures, and skill-building activities. Through these experiences, they develop essential life skills while embracing their faith and values.
Pioneers
Pioneers mark the final phase of the AHG program and are for girls ages 13 to 18. In this stage, girls further their leadership skills and participate in more challenging experiences. Pioneers have the opportunity to earn prestigious awards, engage in advanced service projects, and develop their faith through mentorship opportunities.
Activities and Service Projects
At River Oaks Church, we believe in the importance of giving back to our community. As part of the American Heritage Girls program, we actively engage in various service projects throughout the year. These projects range from volunteering at local shelters and food banks to organizing fundraisers for charitable causes. By participating in these activities, our girls learn the value of serving others and truly make a positive impact in our community.
