What is Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos (RICA)?

Rito de Iniciación Cristiana para Adultos, commonly known as RICA, is a program designed for adults who wish to receive the sacraments of initiation within the Catholic Church. It is a comprehensive process that introduces individuals to the teachings, traditions, and rituals of Catholicism. RICA embraces individuals from all walks of life, whether they are unbaptized, baptized but uncatechized, or baptized in another Christian tradition.

Through RICA, participants embark on a spiritual journey that encompasses the study of Catholic beliefs, prayer, liturgical experiences, and active participation in the community. The program focuses on the essential aspects of Catholic faith, including the sacraments of Baptism, Holy Eucharist, and Confirmation.
