Introduction

Welcome to River Oaks Church! As a leading community and society organization, our commitment to faith and beliefs is unwavering. Our Statement of Faith serves as the guiding principles for our community, emphasizing the values that shape our beliefs and actions.

1. Our Belief in God

At River Oaks Church, we firmly believe in the existence of one true and living God. We embrace the Holy Trinity, recognizing God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit as distinct yet coequal persons within the Godhead.

2. The Authority of the Bible

We hold the Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God, serving as the ultimate authority in matters of faith and practice. It serves as our foundation, providing wisdom and guidance for every aspect of our lives.

3. Salvation through Jesus Christ

Central to our faith is the belief that salvation is found only through faith in Jesus Christ. We acknowledge His sacrificial death on the cross, His resurrection, and His ascension as the means by which humanity can be reconciled with God and receive eternal life.

4. The Work of the Holy Spirit

We recognize the Holy Spirit as an essential part of the Christian life. The Holy Spirit empowers believers, convicts hearts, equips for ministry, and provides spiritual gifts to edify the body of Christ.

5. The Church

The church is not just a building; it is a community of believers. As members of the body of Christ, we strive to live in unity, love, and fellowship. We actively participate in worship, prayer, discipleship, and service, utilizing our gifts and talents to impact the world for God's glory.

6. The Great Commission

As followers of Jesus Christ, we embrace the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations. We are called to share the gospel, demonstrate God's love, and engage in acts of service and compassion within our local and global communities.

7. Christian Living

We strive to live according to biblical principles in every aspect of our lives. This includes upholding the sanctity of marriage, valuing the sanctity of human life at all stages, pursuing justice, showing mercy, and loving our neighbors as ourselves.

8. The Second Coming of Christ

We eagerly anticipate the return of Jesus Christ. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost – the saved to everlasting life and the lost to eternal separation from God. Our future hope fuels our present purpose.
