About Anchor Church

Welcome to Anchor Church, a dynamic and inclusive community located in the heart of River Oaks. Our church is dedicated to sharing the transformative power of faith and beliefs with individuals and families from all walks of life. At Anchor Church, we are driven by a deep commitment to fostering spiritual growth, providing a welcoming environment, and making a positive impact in the community we serve.

Our Vision

At Anchor Church, we believe in fostering a strong sense of community and fostering a deep connection with God. Our vision is to be a beacon of hope, love, and support for all who seek spiritual fulfillment. We strive to create an inclusive space where individuals can find purpose, experience personal growth, and develop meaningful relationships.

Our Beliefs

1. Faith and Salvation

At Anchor Church, we believe that faith is the foundation of a fulfilling life. We emphasize the importance of cultivating a personal relationship with God through prayer, worship, and studying the Word. We believe that salvation is a gift of grace, received by faith in Jesus Christ. Through His sacrifice, we have redemption and eternal life.

2. The Holy Trinity

We affirm the belief in the Holy Trinity, which consists of God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Holy Spirit. We recognize and honor each person of the Trinity as fully God, yet distinct in their roles. We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ and His work of salvation.

3. The Bible

As believers, we consider the Bible to be the inspired and authoritative Word of God. We believe that it contains all necessary teachings for faith and practice. We encourage regular Bible study, seeking a deeper understanding of God's will and applying its teachings to our daily lives.

4. Worship and Fellowship

We value the importance of gathering together as a community to worship and celebrate God's goodness. We believe in the power of prayer, praise, and worship to unite believers and connect us to God. At Anchor Church, we provide various opportunities for fellowship, including small groups, events, and ministries, to foster relationships and grow together in faith.

5. Serving Others

At the core of our beliefs is the belief that we are called to love and serve others. We strive to emulate the example of Jesus Christ by showing compassion, practicing acts of kindness, and working for justice and equality. Through our community outreach programs, we actively seek to make a positive difference in the lives of those around us.

6. Hope and Eternal Life

Our faith provides us with hope for the future and the promise of eternal life. We believe that through Jesus Christ, we have the assurance of forgiveness, reconciliation with God, and the hope of a future spent in His presence. This hope enables us to face challenges with courage and to live with joy, knowing that our ultimate home is with God.
